About Emily Fox

After studying Textiles at Central Saint Martins I took a career in Textile Sales in Sudbury, Suffolk where I settled. Colour and texture has always played an important role for me and I have taken photographs for inspiration. A few years ago I returned to life drawing which I had not studied since my twenties on foundation. I was also meditating a lot and practising yoga and both mediums became a means towards expanding my mindfullness.

The photographs soon got praise as images in their own right and I began to feel confident that I could exhibit them alongside the life drawings at open studios.

One year I got a comment about how different the two mediums were and although I explained the similarities of intense looking in both subjects it got me wondering if they could be combined.

So, here is the result of that brief conversation - Combinations of both mediums.
